SCOPE

The field of Stochastic Resonance (SR) has grown in a significant way in the last ten years and a large number of papers appeared since the 1998 review article (see Rev. Mod. Phys. 70, 223 (1998) ).

A relevant number of new researchers has entered the field and spread the study of SR-related phenomena in new interesting directions.

This International Conference will be the place where scientist from different fields, with different background, will gather together to present and discuss the advances in SR related studies.
The different topics covered by the conference range from nonlinear stochastic modeling to SR-based sensors and actuators, from SR in biological systems to SR application in nonlinear signal detection, from SR in nanodevices to quantum SR, from SR in econophysical models to Thermal noise limited measuring devices, from SR-activated computing devices to SR in communication networks; just to mention a few.

Luca Gammaitoni, on behalf of the Conference Directors.
